As a business focusing on beekeeping, Yamada Bee Farm is active in protecting
the natural environment, and
until 2004, had been
internationally active by planting trees in Nepal.
 China is one of
many countries from
which Yamada Bee Farm imports many of its beekeeping products from. With a deep relationship between the countries and an interest in continuing to promote friendly Japanese - Chinese relations, Yamada Bee Farm started collaboration in March 2004 by participating in a tree planting project in order to help restore the natural environment as well as to prevent the Mongolian preservation area of Huhehoate from desertification.
Laid off workers from the region planted 53.5 trees from March 20 to April 25 in the project's first year. The trees planted were Abramatz and Poplar trees, to protect against sands and winds.
 Additionally, on April 22, a tree planting festival was held, and after a memorial monument was unveiled, the general public and students joined together with employees from Yamada Bee Farm to plant more trees.
